Thayabaran is an applied A.I. scientist with a wealth of experience in both academic and industrial settings. Having completed a Ph.D. and post-doc at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, with a research focus on phonetics and speech sciences, Thaya went on to work as a senior research scientist at Telepathy Labs in Zurich. There, his expertise centered on the development of Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) for commercial applications.

Thaya joined Redenlab in May 2023, where he currently serves as a Senior Speech Scientist. Additionally, he holds a senior post-doc position at the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology at the University of Melbourne.

In his role as an AI scientist in the field of digital health, Thaya’s primary objective is to drive advancements in speech analytics, automate processes, and enhance monitoring accuracy to ultimately improve healthcare outcomes. Thaya’s expertise and research contribute to optimizing the application of AI in healthcare, particularly in the realm of speech-related technologies.
